"AKA... What a Life!" is a song by the English rock band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, released through Noel Gallagher's own Sour Mash Records and was produced by Dave Sardy whom Noel had previously worked with on Oasis records. Following the success of "The Death of You and Me", "AKA... What a Life!" was released as a digital UK single on 9 September 2011, alongside "If I Had a Gun...", which was released as a North American (digital) single on 31 August 2011. Noel names this single as one of his favourites from the album. On 1 September 2011, a minute and thirty second preview of "...What a Life!" was released through a sponsorship commercial by Vauxhall on YouTube, which supposedly gave attention to the commercial. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are an English rock band formed by former Oasis lead guitarist Noel Gallagher. The band originates from Manchester and includes former Oasis pianist Mike Rowe, drummer Jeremy Stacey of The Lemon Trees and percussionist Lenny Castro. The band also varies guests on their debut album such as the Crouch End Festival Chorus and The Wired Strings. Noel had split from Oasis in August of 2009, since then, speculation of rumors that Noel might do a solo album were in the midst of the air. Later on in July of 2011, Noel Gallagher held a press conference which he had gone on to explain that he has in fact been working on a solo album, after denying rumors from his brother that he already heard his album. He also explained that he will be collaborating with Amorphous Androgynous for an album that is due for release in 2012. "AKA...
